Instructional Strategy
Learning materials developed by me, Vira Gryaznova, during the 300x course, are dedicated to becoming parts of the course "Fake News Danger: Be a Rescuer" (here is the preliminary ID document for this course).

The instructional goal of this course is planned to be changing the behavior of participants on social networks to a more conscious one, thus reducing to some extent the level of fake news spreading.

The audience of this course is planned to be adults / young adults who are using social media platforms and want to become more literate on the fake news problem.

My course will consist of three modules: Cognitive Biases, Fake News and User Data. During the 300x course, I produce digital documents and media for the first (Cognitive Biases) and the third (User Data) parts. Both of them concern mostly the user behavior side of the fake news problem, not the fake news itself.
That's why I can formulate the learning gap for the developed learning materials as the need for a student to clarify possible internal, cognitive and emotional, as well as external, induced by social media algorithms, influences on their own reactions and behavior and also on the behavior of other social networks users, and to be more conscious about them.

I made the image monochrome, return the colors to the part of it, additionally blurred the background, then cropped the image.

I used color correction with Live Colors, added Pointillism filter, then cropped the image.
Cognitive Biases (and the Role of Emotions)

1. Interactive Module and Digital Document (infographics)

Learning Objective: After this module, students should be able to diagnose the most popular cognitive biases.

For both of these learning assets, I used the same images and partly the same text, thus, they can be seen as alternative formats of the same content. The interactive module also contains real-life examples of cognitive biases and a short quiz.

I made the Interactive E-learning module with the trial version of Adobe Captivate (2019), and the Cognitive Biases Infographics with Adobe Spark.

2. Audio for E-learning

Learning Objective: After this module, students should be able to recognize the role of emotions in the fake news spreading problem.

I made the Fake News and Emotions Audio with Adobe Audition. There is also a transcript for the audio.
Real Value of User Data

Original Digital Videos

Learning Objective: After this module, students should be able to predict the non-obvious side effects of their online activities and reactions.
I made two videos for this module. The first one explains the mechanics of collaborative filtering which is used for recommending systems in social media, and the second one pointed out to possible malicious usage of this technique.

Voiceover for both videos was recorded with Adobe Audition.

The first video is made with Adobe Premiere Pro, some graphics are drawn in diagrams.net (DrawIO).

The animation for the second video is made with VideoScribe, with final assembling in Adobe Premiere Pro.
